To all those people who speak Hindi and/or other native languages in a professional environment, please refrain from doing so for the following simple reasons:
1. You are not in India.
2. Nobody except Indians understand what's being said.
3. I'm tired of explaining to non-Indians that there's no such language as 'Indian'.
4. There's a reason why they make cell phones portable. If you must converse in a language other than English, please take your cell phone to a private area.
5. Only a select few understand work-related comments made in Hindi in a meeting. If you see a fellow Indian, it's not mandatory to speak Hindi, can it get any simpler?
6. Last but ain't the least, my Hindi is worse than my English and I admit it. So, if you don't get the response you're looking for when you ask, "Arrey yaar, tu Hindi mein reply kyun nahi karta?", please do not be offended.

Are you serious? People in US actually think there's language called "Indian" ?
There's even a language called "Hindu". So, in a linguistic sense, India simultaneously encompasses all religions and only Hinduism.
In a meeting?!
S:
Yes, close examination revealed their intellectual ability matched yours.
Nitish:
Interesting. Based on that theory the language Buddhists speak would be "Buddhu". Yes, I love my jokes.
R:
Yes.
So smart !! You're killing me with your awesomeness, only.

this lingo thing is really bothering you, huh? take hindi tuitions and you won't feel so left out.
seriously bro, tell me about it.
what is weird is that even traditional southies think it cool to associate with north indian stuff (like certain delhi iyengars i know)
while the reverse is rarely the case.
Just when I was about to write it, you said it yourself.. But then, I am still going to say it..
1. Have a Google translator if you want to understand what its all about.
2. Is this sour-face because of your own great Hindi skills?
3. Next time someone talks to you in Hindi, please say the arrow-dil dialogue. He will die
Jane,
Yeah, Mohan Lal is teaching me.
Anjana,
You are a racist. Learn from me, I never make any racist comments.
Ms. Taggart,
The "arrow-dil" line is only reserved for women. It works wonders on them.
@V
ada raama! it was not meant to sound that way, but i guess it did. you behave like an angsty, love-failure teenager. learn from me, i never behave like an angsty teenager.
LOL. I was only kidding. I am a racist and I blame others so I don't have to carry the gult, I mean, guilt around.
if there's a language called "chinese", why not "indian"?
