I might sound like a broken record but in my opinion, The Bourne Supremacy sets a precedent for a sequel that no other sequel has ever set or met when it comes to gripping the viewer's attention and living up to expectations. I saw the movie the first day it came out and I've seen it seventeen times thereafter and I cannot help but analyze every scene with a microscope including understanding the purpose of using a specific octave in the background score. I watched and re-watched the movie to break the plot down in my own mind. The first time I saw it, everything seemed like passing light rays at a speed I couldn't keep up with (I'm slow when it's about the movies I want to decipher), let alone follow.
The sequel extends the first film's trajectory maintaining the darker, exhilarating and edge-of-the-seat experience that are so hard to find in movies made these days. His love for Marie propelled him out of India with a goal to find the source responsible for such a setback in his life. To me, a plot can't be more tighter, given that he is a CIA hitman with selective amnesia, the screenplay toys with your mind as you are kept guessing. My subconscious mind still tries to guess his next move even though I've seen the movie as many times.
The soundtrack adds intensity to every scene. The car chase sequence in Moscow makes me mute my cellphone. The ability to read a map of a new town while nursing a gunshot wound and being chased by the police left me glued. In the end, making the choice to walk to the end of the tunnel towards light instead of killing the assassin who is already helpless and bleeding left me speechless.
He tried to live a peaceful life.

dont think any other thriller adaptation has worked so well on screen. Even though they had made considerable changes.....
I like thrillers, but somehow could never get myself to watch any of the Bourne movies.. May be because I really dont like how Matt Damon looks, and I know its not the right way to see and appreciate movies.
Blame it on Oceans series.. thats where I saw Damon first, standing along with Clooney and Pitt! :D

I agree. The whole plot was changed. Paul Greengrass definetly did a great job on the movie.

Yes, I'm glad you realize that's not the right way to see movies. But I'll differ in opinion if it involves Jennifer Conelly or Kate Beckinsale(whoa!). I could care less about the story, then.
why do you post stuff n then delete them?

Yeah, reminds me of him too.
